The gist of this construct is that a spectacular, irrefutable majority of bad outcomes are concentrated among the incorrigibly mRNA-free.
It seems plausible: vaccines are “95% effective”, after all.

AP origins
In late June AP ran an article headlined “Nearly all COVID deaths in US are now among unvaccinated”. The article begins:
“Nearly all COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. now are in people who weren’t vaccinated, a staggering demonstration of how effective the shots have been and an indication that deaths per day — now down to under 300 — could be practically zero if everyone eligible got the vaccine.”
In the time it takes a butterfly to blink, AP’s report was cloned by every conceivable legacy news site…1
The “POV” seed was subsequently nurtured by a series of choreographed pronouncements from folks like Fauci, CDC director Walensky, Surgeon General Murthy, and POTUS himself.
Fauci, July 4:
“If you look at the number of deaths, about 99.2% of them are unvaccinated”.
CDC director Walensky, July 16
“[O]ver 97 percent of people who are entering the hospital right now are unvaccinated”.
July 29
POTUS: “the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated,” quoth Biden.
Thus by the end of July, any media-interfacing American was socialized to believe that all inglorious Covid outcomes are concentrated among unvaccinated deplorables; that if everyone got vaccinated, Covid as we know it would fade from view; and that “the unvaccinated” are rightfully shunned, punished, and coerced into submitting to injection.
Serious claims require serious data.
The CDC report no one talks about
According to CDC’s own published estimates, vaccinated adults (1 or more doses) comprised 6% of hospitalizations in January and rose to 18% by May.2
“COVID-19-associated hospitalizations among vaccinated and unvaccinated adults ≥18 years – COVID-NET, 13 states, January 1 – July 24, 2021”.
By June, 23% of Covid hospitalizations had received vaccine. That’s about 1 in 4. Fully vaccinated individuals comprised 16%, or 1 in 6.
As for deaths?
An internal CDC slide deck (leaked to Washington Post) estimates that full vaccinees comprised 15% of in-hospital deaths by May. Note the trend line.
Suffice to say, these CDC estimates are a world away from what we’ve been told.
Do these data vitiate the case for vaccine efficacy? No, they do not. (Nor is VE the topic of this blog).
What these data lay to waste is the pretense of US public health officials as magnanimous communicators of truth.
UK, Israeli canaries
CDC obfuscates data in ways most Americans will never perceive. Did you know “unvaccinated” hospitalization-death tallies include people who have received 0, 1, and even 2 doses of vaccine?
The UK governments publish better, not-obviously-obfuscated data. Below is a summary from Public Health England’s Technical briefing [20 what???]. The data are specific to Delta from February 1 through September 12, 2021.3
Hospitalizations:
38% fully vaccinated
12% partially vaccinated
50% unvaccinated
Deaths:
64% fully vaccinated
7% partially vaccinated
29% unvaccinated

Notably, Delta deaths among the fully vaccinated rose from 55% to 64% over the past 6 weeks.4 Overall, 71% of Deaths attributed to Delta variant received vaccine.
Here’s another interesting tidbit. According to the UK government’s October 15 surveillance report, infection rates are higher in double-jabbed compared to their unvaccinated peers.
Fact-check: it’s definitely not a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” in England.
The data from Wales are even starker. BBC reports
How is it possible that “breakthrough” hospitalizations and deaths are rare in the US, yet a majority in the UK?
The obvious reality is that it isn’t — and the reality that a concerning proportion of bad outcomes occur in vaccinees is common knowledge to anyone following trends abroad — Israel in particular — as US public health officials assuredly are.
Yet here’s Biden teaming up with CNN to keep Americans perpetually out of touch:
“If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized…you’re not going to die.”

Does this mean Covid vaccines are worthless? No. Over-hyped? That’s debatable. IMHO a vaccine that associates with steep increases in YoY mortality is fundamentally disappointing. Did you know Covid deaths in the UK and Israel are up 700% over the past 6 months?
Are we experiencing a “pandemic of the unvaccinated”? Not even close — not in the way our public health propagandists have defined it.
